In 1969 Pierre Dartigalongue set up his distillery at Salles D'Armagnac. Each year the finest white wines are distilled into armagnac. From the moment it leaves the still the colourless, crystal-clear eau de vie is stored in seasoned 400 litre oak casks called "pièces".

The armagnac is left to age for many years in our unusual 19 th century two-storey "chais". Over a period of time the tannic matter mingles with the liquid ; evaporation produces "the Angels' share"; the eau de vie takes on colour and its aroma develops.

Pascal's descendants, now the fifth generation, continue to produce fine armagnac in the time-honoured way and are proud to preserve the family tradition down to the last detail.
